ACET Amritsar: Strict Rules but Good Academics

Likes

  • Well-maintained campus environment
  • Decent academic standards
  • Experienced faculty in some departments
  • NBA and NAAC accreditation

Dislikes

  • Very strict rules and regulations
  • Partiality towards certain departments
  • Limited internship opportunities
  • Location is far from the city
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

ACET provides some internship opportunities, but they're not as abundant as you'd expect. You have to put in extra effort to find good internships on your own. The college does help with placements, but it's more focused on CSE and related fields.

Course Information :

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at ACET is pretty decent. The course curriculum is updated, and you get a good grasp of the fundamentals. Some of my friends felt it could be more industry-oriented, but overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking to build a base in CSE.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for B.Tech CSE is around ₹71,065 per year. It's pretty standard for a private engineering college in Punjab. There are options for scholarships based on merit and some government schemes that can help reduce the financial burden.

Faculty :

Some teachers are really good and helpful, but yeah, there are a few who aren't that great. I felt there was some partiality towards the CSE department, which was a bit annoying. But overall, most of the faculty is experienced and knowledgeable.

Campus Details :

The campus is spread over 13 acres and has a decent infrastructure. It feels more like a school because of the strict rules. But the campus is well-maintained and provides a good environment for studies. The location is a bit far from Amritsar city, about 12 km near Manawala.
