BCAS Delhi: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Likes

  • Decent course content
  • Some dedicated teachers
  • Manageable fee structure
  • Good college campus

Dislikes

  • Poor lab maintenance
  • No hostel facility
  • Lack of internships
  • Inconsistent teaching quality
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities were practically non-existent. We were left to fend for ourselves. The college needs to actively bring in companies for internships to give students real-world exposure. This is a major drawback.

Course Information :

I opted for B.Sc Chemistry Hons at BCAS, and honestly, the course content was decent. However, the practical application felt lacking. More focus on lab work and industry exposure would definitely elevate the course.

Fee Structure :

The annual fee of ₹22,500 felt a bit steep considering the facilities. While it's manageable, a review of the fee structure in relation to the resources provided would be beneficial. Some of my friends felt the fees were not justified.

Faculty :

Some teachers were really dedicated, but others seemed disinterested. It was a mixed experience. More engagement during experiments and better-prepared notes would make a huge difference. Hoping the college takes note of this.

Campus Details :

The campus was okay, but the labs need serious upgrades. A lot of equipment wasn't working, and that hampered our practical learning. Plus, no hostel makes it tough for out-of-town students. The college needs to improve its infrastructure.
