College Internship Opportunities :
The college does try to help with internships, but honestly, it's not that effective. You're mostly on your own to find something good. Networking and using your own contacts is way more helpful in landing a decent internship.
Course Information :
The B.Tech IT course at Bengal College of Engineering and Technology is pretty decent. The syllabus is updated, but honestly, it feels more geared towards passing exams than making us industry-ready. Still, if you put in the effort, you can definitely learn a lot.
Fee Structure :
For the B.Tech IT course, the fees are around ₹84,000 per year for general students. If you get in through TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver), it's a sweet deal because the fees get cut in half. So, definitely try for that!
Faculty :
Some teachers are really good at explaining stuff and are super supportive. Others, not so much. But overall, the faculty maintains a good relationship with the students and are always there to help if you're facing any issues with your studies.
Campus Details :
The campus has a good vibe, and you'll find students from all over, especially Bihar and Jharkhand. The infrastructure is okay, but could use some upgrades. We have decent grounds for sports like football and basketball, and an auditorium for events. Labs need serious improvement though.
