BCET Durgapur: My Honest Review After 3 Years

Likes

  • Beautiful campus with lots of greenery
  • Decent infrastructure and well-maintained facilities
  • Supportive teachers
  • Good placement opportunities

Dislikes

  • Sports facilities are not up to the mark
  • Some teachers struggle to explain concepts
  • Internship opportunities could be better
  • No separate sports center for boys and girls
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college provides some internship opportunities, but they could definitely improve. Some companies come for internships, but the competition is high. The college should focus on bringing in more companies for internships.

Course Information :

I'm currently pursuing B.Tech IT here, and honestly, the course is pretty decent. The curriculum is updated, and they cover most of the important topics. It could be better, but it's definitely not bad. The course structure is relevant to industry standards.

Fee Structure :

For my B.Tech course, the fees come around ₹90,000 per semester. It feels like a reasonable amount considering the facilities and academics they provide. I think it's worth the money.

Faculty :

Okay, so here's the thing about the faculty. Out of all the teachers, I feel only 2-3 are really good at explaining stuff. The rest are knowledgeable, but they struggle to get the concepts across. But overall faculty is good and supportive.

Campus Details :

The campus is quite beautiful, with a temple and lots of trees. It's a nice place to chill with friends. The infrastructure is decent, with well-maintained classrooms, labs, and a library. The sports facilities could be better, though.
