BMSIT Bangalore: A Student's Honest Review

Likes

  • Experienced and supportive faculty
  • Clean and well-maintained classrooms
  • Decent placement opportunities
  • Good academic environment

Dislikes

  • Outdated curriculum
  • Limited hostel rooms for boys
  • Girls' hostel far from campus
  • Need for better sports equipment
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

While placements are decent, internship opportunities could be better. Many companies visit the campus, but the roles offered aren't always the most desirable. Need more companies offering core engineering internships.

Course Information :

I'm currently in my second year of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) at BMSIT. The course provides a solid foundation, but the curriculum feels a bit outdated since it's VTU-affiliated. Hoping the college goes autonomous soon to update it!

Fee Structure :

Fees for B.Tech courses like ECE are pretty standard for a private college in Bangalore. Expect to pay around ₹2-3 lakh per year, including tuition and other charges. Keep an eye out for scholarship opportunities to ease the burden.

Faculty :

The professors in the ECE department are really experienced and knowledgeable, most of them holding PhDs. They're always ready to help and clarify doubts, making the learning experience quite enriching. A big thumbs up to the faculty!

Campus Details :

BMSIT has decent infrastructure with clean classrooms, labs, and a well-maintained library. The sports facilities could use some upgrades with new equipment. The campus is lively, but the girls' hostel being 7 km away is a bit of a hassle. Boys' hostel rooms are also limited.
