CGC Landran: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Likes

  • Good placement opportunities if you work hard
  • TPP classes are helpful for placements
  • Decent lab facilities with AC
  • Wi-Fi available on campus

Dislikes

  • Slow Wi-Fi speed
  • No AC in classrooms
  • Campus life feels like school
  • Theoretical knowledge is prioritized over practical
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college does try to provide internship opportunities, but it's up to you to grab them. They conduct TPP (Training and Placement Program) classes, which are helpful for preparing for interviews. Doing internships is crucial for getting placed.

Course Information :

I'm pursuing BCA here, and it's a mixed experience. The course curriculum is decent, covering the basics, but could use more real-world applications. Some of the faculty are really supportive, while others seem less invested. Overall, it's an okay course if you're just starting out.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for BCA is around ₹75,000 per year, which is pretty standard for private colleges in the area. Honestly, it feels a bit steep considering the facilities. There are definitely cheaper options out there, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

Faculty :

Some professors are really dedicated and helpful, always ready to clear doubts and provide extra guidance. However, there are a few who seem less interested and just rush through the syllabus. It really depends on the subject and the professor assigned.

Campus Details :

The campus is okay, nothing too fancy. We have Wi-Fi, but the speed is often an issue. Labs have AC, which is a relief during summers, but classrooms don't. It's more like a school environment than a college vibe, to be honest.
