CKCET Cuddalore: A Student's Harsh Reality & Honest Review

Likes

  • Proximity to Pondicherry for recreation
  • Potential for growth if managed well

Dislikes

  • Poor infrastructure and facilities
  • Unqualified and unsupportive faculty
  • Discouraging campus environment
  • Limited placement opportunities
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are scarce and often off-campus, usually through tie-ups with places like VIT Vellore. On-campus placements are rare and typically from companies offering very low salaries. It's frustrating when talent isn't recognized or given a chance.

Course Information :

The Computer Science program at CKCET, based on student feedback, seems to focus heavily on rote learning rather than practical application. While a degree is attainable, students may find themselves unprepared for real-world challenges due to the curriculum's theoretical focus.

Fee Structure :

I don't have the exact fee structure, but from what I've heard, the fees at CKCET might not be worth it considering the quality of education. Students often feel that the facilities and teaching don't justify the cost, especially when compared to other colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Faculty :

Honestly, the faculty, with very few exceptions, struggled with basic concepts. It felt like favoritism played a big role in internal marks, which is super demotivating. It's tough when you can't get your questions answered or feel like your efforts aren't recognized.

Campus Details :

The campus is a letdown. Infrastructure is lacking, and frequent power cuts are a major issue. They only provide generator power to the principal and director's rooms. There's no proper playground, and the overall ambiance isn't conducive to studying. It's a pretty disappointing environment.
