CMRTC Hyderabad: My Honest Review After Studying CE

Likes

  • Good campus environment
  • Well-maintained library
  • Supportive faculty
  • Clean and healthy environment

Dislikes

  • Lab equipment needs improvement
  • Low placements for CE stream
  • Online classes were ineffective
  • Charges for accidental damages
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

While the college does provide some internship opportunities, they aren't very robust. Students often need to look for internships on their own. More focus on securing internships for students would definitely enhance the college's value.

Course Information :

I pursued Civil Engineering (CE) at CMR Technical Campus, and the curriculum was pretty decent. The facilities are okay, and the faculty is supportive. However, online classes during the pandemic felt like a waste of time. While you get a degree, you need to put in extra effort for placements.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure is manageable. We pay around ₹25,000 per year, and I get a ₹35,000 reimbursement, making the total fee around ₹60,000. It feels worth it for the education, although the lab equipment could be better. They charge students for accidental damages, which is a bit of a downer.

Faculty :

The faculty at CMRTC are generally good and approachable. They are knowledgeable and willing to help students. Guest lectures and seminars are regularly organized for all departments, which is a great initiative. Overall, the faculty contributes positively to the academic environment.

Campus Details :

The campus environment is well-maintained with good security. The college conducts technical fests and celebrates various events. The library is well-stocked, and classrooms are maintained. The campus provides a clean and healthy environment, making it a pleasant place to study.
