COER Roorkee: A Reality Check from a Former Student

Likes

  • Decent campus environment
  • Some dedicated faculty members
  • Proximity to IIT Roorkee
  • Good for self-study focused students

Dislikes

  • Outdated curriculum
  • Poor placement record
  • Lack of internship opportunities
  • High fees for the facilities provided
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities were scarce during my time. Most of us had to find internships on our own. The college didn't provide much support in that area. So, if you're looking for good internship opportunities, you might need to look elsewhere.

Course Information :

B.Tech CSE at COER Roorkee? Well, the course structure was okay, but honestly, the college needs to update the curriculum to match the current industry standards. Some teachers were really good, but overall, it felt like we were learning outdated stuff. Could be much better!

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for B.Tech CSE was around ₹1.2 Lakhs per year. Honestly, for the kind of facilities and placements they offer, it felt a bit overpriced. There are definitely better colleges with similar fees. Keep that in mind!

Faculty :

Some faculty members were really dedicated and helpful, especially in the CSE department. But, there were also a few who seemed disinterested. Overall, it was a mixed bag. If you get good teachers, you're in luck!

Campus Details :

Campus life at COER Roorkee was pretty average. The infrastructure is okay, but nothing great. The college is located near IIT Roorkee, but that's about it. Not much to do around the campus. It's more of a study-focused environment.
