DY Patil Biotechnology Institute: Not the best experience for the fees

Likes

  • Decent infrastructure
  • Well-equipped labs
  • Good library resources
  • Annual fest is enjoyable

Dislikes

  • Poor placement opportunities
  • Small campus with limited activities
  • Lack of sports facilities
  • Cafeteria without basic amenities
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college doesn't provide many internship opportunities. You'll have to find internships on your own, which can be tough. It would be great if the college could tie up with more companies to offer internships to students.

Course Information :

The M.Sc. Biotechnology program's teaching quality is just okay. Teachers focus on finishing the syllabus for exams, which puts a lot of pressure on students. They even make students attend extra classes. It's not the best learning environment, to be honest.

Fee Structure :

The fees are around ₹1 lakh, which feels like a lot considering the placements aren't great. You might not get the best return on your investment here. It's something to seriously consider before joining.

Faculty :

The faculty is focused on completing the syllabus, but they don't really help you understand the concepts deeply. It feels like they're just going through the motions. It would be great if they could make the classes more engaging and interactive.

Campus Details :

The campus is quite small, and there's not much to do. The only real activity is the annual fest. The cafeteria lacks basic amenities like fans or AC. There's no proper sports center, and sports equipment is limited. It's a bit disappointing.
