GAT Bangalore: A CSE Student's Honest Take - Think Twice!

Likes

  • Decent canteen with affordable food
  • Some faculty are genuinely helpful
  • Okayish sports facilities
  • Located in a well-connected area

Dislikes

  • Horrible placement record
  • Outdated course curriculum
  • Lack of internship opportunities
  • Unresponsive administration
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are scarce, especially if you're not in the top tier of students. The college doesn't really push for internships, so you're mostly on your own to find something. Networking is key here, but the college doesn't provide much support.

Course Information :

Okay, so I took Computer Science here, and honestly, it wasn't great. The course content felt outdated, and I didn't think it prepared me well for the real world. Some of my friends in other branches felt the same about their courses too. Just being real with you guys.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for BE Computer Science and Engineering is around ₹2.5 Lakhs per year. Honestly, for the kind of education they're providing, it feels overpriced. You can probably find better options with similar or lower fees. Do your research!

Faculty :

Some of the faculty members are really dedicated and knowledgeable, but others seem disinterested and out of touch. It's a mixed bag, to be honest. You might get lucky with some subjects, but don't expect consistently great teaching across the board.

Campus Details :

The campus is okay, nothing too fancy. It has the basic amenities, but it's not exactly a vibrant or lively place. The infrastructure needs some serious upgrades. There are some decent hangout spots, but overall, it's pretty average.
