College Internship Opportunities :
Internships are a major concern. The college needs to focus on getting more companies to offer internships, especially in the 6th semester. It's crucial for students to gain real-world experience and improve their job prospects. This is one area where IIST Indore really needs to step up.
Course Information :
I'm pursuing B.Tech in IT here, and it's a mixed bag. The curriculum is decent, but could use some updating to match current industry trends. Some of the course content feels a bit outdated. Overall, it's manageable, but be prepared to put in extra effort to stay relevant.
Fee Structure :
The fee structure at IIST Indore is pretty reasonable, especially considering the location. For B.Tech programs, expect to pay around ₹60,000-₹70,000 per semester. It's worth the investment if you're serious about your studies, but keep an eye out for additional costs like exam fees and miscellaneous charges.
Faculty :
The faculty is a mixed bag. Some professors are really dedicated and knowledgeable, while others are just okay. Most of them are highly educated, but the online transition due to the pandemic has made it tough for both students and teachers. More practical, hands-on teaching methods would be a great improvement.
Campus Details :
IIST Indore has a decent campus, especially the area is quite good for students. I only got to experience it for 7 months before the pandemic hit, but it was neat and clean. Really missing campus life and hoping things get back to normal soon!
