College Internship Opportunities :
KIIT provides decent internship opportunities, but it varies a lot depending on your branch. For CSE students, there are many options, but for core branches like Mechatronics, it's quite limited. You might have to put in extra effort to find good internships on your own.
Course Information :
B.Tech in Mechatronics at KIIT has potential, but the curriculum needs updating. While teachers are supportive, the course feels basic. If you're looking to expand your knowledge, be prepared to self-study. It's a growing field, but currently, the course structure needs more industry relevance.
Fee Structure :
The B.Tech program cost me around ₹12 lakhs for four years, which is a bit higher compared to other private engineering colleges in Odisha. The annual fee was ₹3 lakhs, plus an extra ₹2,000 for semester registration and exam fees. Honestly, didn't feel like I got my money's worth due to the placement scenario.
Faculty :
The faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department, especially for Mechatronics, could be better. Some teachers aren't qualified enough to teach the subjects effectively. However, they are supportive if you take the initiative to learn on your own. More experienced and updated faculty would definitely improve the course.
Campus Details :
KIIT's campus life is awesome! There's always something happening, and students are super involved. The infrastructure is top-notch, with well-maintained buildings, AC classrooms, and clean washrooms. The library is world-class, offering tons of books. Plus, the sports and fitness centers are well-equipped. It's a vibrant place to be!
