College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are limited, especially for Mechanical and Civil Engineering students. CSE students have a better chance of getting placed in service-based companies like TCS. The college needs to focus on bringing in more companies for internships and placements.
Course Information :
I'm studying Mechanical Engineering here, and honestly, the course has its ups and downs. The syllabus is updated, which is a plus, but the quality of teaching can be improved. Some professors are really supportive, while others... not so much. It's a mixed bag.
Fee Structure :
The fees are around 1 lakh per year, which feels a bit steep considering the placement scenario, especially for core branches. While there are many events and fests, I wish more of the money was invested in improving placements and academics.
Faculty :
The faculty is a mixed bag. Some professors are local graduates, while others have IIT degrees but rarely teach. Building a good rapport with professors is crucial, as internal assessment marks can be subjective. It's all about navigating the system.
Campus Details :
Campus life is great! GIT isn't just about studies; there are many fests and events. The annual fest, AURA, is a huge deal, but I feel the money spent on it could be better utilized elsewhere. The infrastructure is decent, but the Wi-Fi needs improvement.
