KMIT EIE: Not the Best Choice, Go for CSE!

Likes

  • Decent placement rate for CSE students
  • Good campus environment
  • Active student clubs and events
  • Located in a prime area of Hyderabad

Dislikes

  • Poor faculty for EIE branch
  • Outdated labs and equipment
  • Lack of internship opportunities for EIE
  • Uneven distribution of resources
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities for EIE students were scarce. Most companies that visited the campus were looking for CSE graduates. We had to rely on off-campus opportunities, which were difficult to secure. The college needs to improve its industry connections for EIE students.

Course Information :

Honestly, the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) course at KMIT wasn't up to par. The curriculum felt outdated, and it didn't really prepare us for the current industry standards. If you're considering KMIT, Computer Science is definitely the way to go.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for EIE at KMIT is around ₹1.5 Lakh per year. While it's comparable to other private colleges in Hyderabad, I didn't feel like the quality of education justified the cost, especially considering the lack of resources and faculty expertise in the EIE department.

Faculty :

The faculty for the EIE department was a major letdown. Many professors lacked practical experience, and their teaching methods were outdated. It felt like they were just going through the motions without really engaging with the students. The CSE faculty, on the other hand, seemed much more invested and knowledgeable.

Campus Details :

The campus is decent, nothing extraordinary. The infrastructure for EIE is lacking, especially the labs. They need serious upgrades. But the CSE department seems to get all the attention and resources. Overall campus life is average.
