Mixed Feelings about Marian College: Friends Make It Better!

Likes

  • Good location and surroundings
  • Friendly college environment
  • Decent campus life with friends
  • New auditorium is a plus

Dislikes

  • Rushed syllabus completion
  • Lack of placement opportunities
  • Full fees during the pandemic
  • Basic infrastructure initially
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

As a BA Literature student, I didn't see many placement opportunities. Maybe other courses have better luck, but it doesn't seem like big companies are lining up to recruit here. Hoping they bring in more internship opportunities in the future!

Course Information :

BA English at Marian College? Well, the course content is decent, but honestly, it felt like the teachers were always in a rush to finish the syllabus. Could've been better if they focused more on in-depth understanding rather than just completing portions. Hoping for improvements!

Fee Structure :

The fee structure at Marian College is around ₹9,500 per semester, which totals about ₹19,000 annually. It's pretty standard for a self-financing college. However, during the pandemic, they still collected the full fees, which felt a bit unfair since we weren't using all the facilities.

Faculty :

Somehow, the teachers are always rushing to finish the syllabus, and sometimes they don't even complete it on time. During COVID, they rushed through the syllabus with online classes. I wish they would focus more on ensuring we truly understand the material.

Campus Details :

The location and surroundings of Marian College are quite nice, which definitely adds to the vibe. Honestly, college life is all about the friends you make. The campus is okay, but it's my friends who make it enjoyable, not necessarily the facilities provided.
