My Graduation Experience at MATS University: A Mixed Bag

Likes

  • Hygienic hostel food
  • Large campus for sports
  • Decent course structure
  • Good campus life

Dislikes

  • Lack of experienced faculty
  • High fees compared to others
  • Poor B.Com placements
  • No smart classrooms
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are okay-ish. During my time, B.Com students didn't get many companies coming for internships. It's something the college needs to improve on, especially for commerce students.

Course Information :

I took B.Com here, and the course structure is decent. They update the curriculum based on what's happening in the industry, which is a plus. However, I felt they could focus more on practical application to make us more job-ready.

Fee Structure :

The fees are a bit on the higher side compared to other colleges in Raipur. For B.Com, expect to shell out around ₹60,000 per year. While it's pricey, the quality of education is good, but weigh your options.

Faculty :

The faculty is knowledgeable, but honestly, I wish there were more experienced professors. Some of the teachers are relatively new, so while they're good, more seasoned guidance would definitely help.

Campus Details :

The campus is huge, with multiple institutions within it. It's great for sports, but no swimming pool. Hostel facilities are good, and the food is hygienic. Could use some smart classrooms, though!
