MPSTME Mumbai: Honest Review - Is It Worth the Hype?

Likes

  • Centralized AC in classrooms
  • Smart boards are good
  • Good committee structure for interview prep
  • Prime location in Vile Parle

Dislikes

  • No proper infrastructure
  • Expensive canteen
  • Unreliable Wi-Fi
  • Very expensive hostel
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college has a decent committee that helps with interview skills, which is a plus for placements. They do bring in some companies for internships, but you have to be proactive and network yourself to land a good one.

Course Information :

The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering program is decent here. The teachers cover the syllabus, but don't expect super in-depth knowledge. They push for research papers, which is cool, but more practical lab work would be great. Overall, it's okay if you study hard yourself.

Fee Structure :

Fees are on the higher side, around ₹3-4 Lakhs per year for B.Tech. Honestly, it feels a bit overpriced considering the facilities. They always say 'it's Mumbai,' but still, the fees don't quite match the value you get.

Faculty :

Faculty is alright, nothing extraordinary. They know their stuff and teach what's relevant, but don't expect any super engaging or inspiring lectures. They're approachable enough if you have doubts, but not top-notch compared to the fees we pay.

Campus Details :

The campus is just one building, which feels cramped. Centralized AC and smart boards are a plus, but the library is just average. Wi-Fi is unreliable. Canteen food is okay in quality but expensive. Location in Vile Parle is prime, but the campus life is pretty dull.
