Likes

  • Decent faculty in the CSE department
  • Some faculty have good subject knowledge
  • Okay crowd

Dislikes

  • Poor infrastructure facilities
  • Limited corporate exposure
  • Monotonous college life
  • Poor placement record
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are limited and not very impactful. The college needs to improve its corporate exposure and provide more relevant seminars and workshops. Don't expect a lot of help from the college in securing good internships.

Course Information :

The BE Computer Science and Engineering course at NMIT has a mixed reputation. While some faculty members are knowledgeable, the overall experience can be underwhelming. The curriculum needs updating to stay relevant with industry standards. Expect a challenging but not always rewarding academic journey.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for the BE Computer Science program is around ₹9 lakhs for four years, excluding additional fees. Considering the placement scenario and the quality of education, many students feel it's not the best value for money. Be prepared for extra expenses beyond the tuition fees.

Faculty :

The faculty in the CSE department are a mixed bag. Some professors are really good and know their stuff, but others struggle with communication and teaching effectively. It's a hit or miss, and depends on who you get. Overall, it's decent but could be better.

Campus Details :

The campus infrastructure is below average. Wi-Fi is not readily available, and the hostel lacks power backup. The playground is multi-purpose but poorly maintained. Campus life can be monotonous, with limited representation from non-Kannadiga students in college events.
