College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are average. Students mostly have to find internships on their own, but the teachers are supportive. The college doesn't bring in too many companies for internships, so you need to put in the extra effort to network and apply off-campus. It's all about your own initiative.
Course Information :
I'm a CSE student here, and honestly, the course is pretty average. The syllabus is okay, but you really need to put in your own effort to learn things. Seniors are a great help, though. They guide you a lot, especially when the teaching quality feels a bit lacking. If you're ready to self-study, you can make the most of it.
Fee Structure :
The fee structure at Orissa Engineering College for B.Tech CSE is around ₹80,000 per year. Honestly, considering the facilities and academics, it feels a bit much. There are definitely colleges with better infrastructure at the same price point. Keep an eye out for scholarship opportunities to ease the burden.
Faculty :
The faculty is a mixed bag. Some teachers are really dedicated and helpful, especially in the EEE and CSE departments. But overall, the teaching quality is just average. You'll need to rely on seniors and self-study to really grasp the concepts. They are supportive, but initiative from the student is key.
Campus Details :
The campus is okay, nothing too fancy. The auditorium is definitely the highlight – it's like a different world compared to the rest of the college. Classrooms are average and could use some maintenance. The AV hall is also decent. Overall, it's an average campus, but the auditorium makes up for it a bit.
