Panimalar Engineering College: Mixed Bag of Experiences

Likes

  • Excellent infrastructure and well-planned campus
  • Good sports facilities for various games
  • Decent placement opportunities
  • Experienced and knowledgeable faculty

Dislikes

  • Strict no-phone policy and no Wi-Fi
  • Outdated syllabus (currently under Anna University)
  • High fee structure
  • Limited interaction between boys and girls
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college does a good job of providing internship opportunities. They focus on training you to get placed in companies like TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, and Accenture. You need to have good academics and communication skills to grab those top placements.

Course Information :

I'm currently pursuing ECE here, and honestly, the course is decent. The faculty is experienced, but the syllabus is a bit outdated since it's still under Anna University. However, word is they're moving towards autonomous status, so hopefully, the curriculum will get a much-needed update soon!

Fee Structure :

The fee structure is on the higher side, around ₹1,40,000 per year, which includes bus and mess fees. It's a bit steep, but if you consistently score well, it feels worth the investment. Keep those grades up!

Faculty :

The faculty members are quite knowledgeable and experienced, which is a big plus. They're supportive and always ready to help if you're struggling with the concepts. Makes learning a lot easier!

Campus Details :

The campus is pretty well-maintained with lots of trees, which gives it a relaxed vibe. They've got good sports facilities for basketball, cricket, football, and more. The food in the mess is actually quite good compared to other colleges in Chennai. One downside is the strict no-phone policy and lack of Wi-Fi.
