College Internship Opportunities :
One of the best things about PEC is its location in Chandigarh. Companies frequently visit for placements and internships. The college has a dedicated CGDC department that helps with placement training, making it easier to land good opportunities.
Course Information :
I'm pursuing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering here, and I must say, the course is pretty solid. The teachers are helpful if you put in the effort and ask for guidance. The curriculum is regularly updated, which is a big plus. It's preparing us well for the industry.
Fee Structure :
The fees were around Rs. 75,000 per semester back in 2019-2020, plus hostel fees of about Rs. 69,000 per year. Honestly, it's a bit steep compared to other government colleges and NITs, but you get what you pay for in terms of infrastructure and opportunities.
Faculty :
The faculty is decent, especially the core subject teachers. They're knowledgeable and supportive, but it's a government college, so don't expect too much hand-holding. If you're proactive and seek help, they're always willing to guide you.
Campus Details :
Campus life at PEC is awesome, especially if you're a hosteller! There are tons of technical and cultural societies to join, so you'll never be bored. Plus, being in Chandigarh means you can explore the city whenever you want. The new academic block is great, though the auditorium could be bigger.
