RIT Bangalore: A Mixed Bag, But Improving!

Likes

  • Decent infrastructure for core branches
  • Improving facilities
  • Good for CS/IT students
  • Okayish campus life

Dislikes

  • Off-campus placements mostly
  • Faculty more focused on petty issues
  • Not great for BM/ME branches
  • Needs better industry connections
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are decent, but most of the good placements happen off-campus. The college could definitely improve its industry connections to bring more companies for on-campus recruitment. Students need to be proactive in finding internships themselves.

Course Information :

For Computer Science (CS) students at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), the course seems pretty decent. The curriculum is updated, and the faculty is supportive. However, it might not be the best choice if you're in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering. Overall, a solid option for CS aspirants.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for BE Computer Science and Engineering is around ₹62,539 per year. While this is manageable, keep in mind that additional costs for books and other materials can add up. Make sure to factor in hostel fees if you're planning to stay on campus.

Faculty :

Some faculty members are really dedicated, but others seem more focused on things like confiscating phones than actually teaching. It's a mixed experience, and it really depends on the department. Hopefully, the college will address this and focus more on quality teaching.

Campus Details :

The campus is okay, nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done. There are decent facilities for sports and extracurricular activities. The college is continuously trying to improve the infrastructure, so it's getting better over time. Overall, a satisfactory campus environment.
