College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are okay-ish. The college does try to bring in companies for internships, but it's up to you to grab those opportunities. Networking and keeping your grades up are key. Some seniors have landed good internships through their own efforts, so it's definitely possible.
Course Information :
The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering program at Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology is pretty solid. The curriculum is well-structured, and they focus on making it industry-relevant. If you're willing to put in the effort, you'll find it's a great course to build a strong foundation.
Fee Structure :
From what I know, the fee structure for B.Tech CSE is around ₹80,000 per year. It's pretty standard for a private engineering college in West Bengal. They do offer some scholarships based on merit and sometimes on financial need, so it's worth checking those out.
Faculty :
The faculty is a mixed bag. Some professors are super knowledgeable and helpful, always ready to guide you. Others are just okay. But overall, if you're proactive and seek help when needed, you'll learn a lot from their experience. They bring a good mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.
Campus Details :
The campus is decent, not too fancy but has all the basic amenities. The labs are well-equipped, which is a big plus for practical learning. The library is also pretty good with a decent collection of books. The campus life is what you make of it – there are clubs and events, but it's not super lively.
