UPES Dehradun: Is it really worth the hype?

Likes

  • Spacious and well-equipped campus
  • Good campus life with many events
  • Variety of student chapters
  • Buildings are fully air conditioned

Dislikes

  • Academics can be boring
  • Placements are not as good as claimed
  • High fees not worth the value
  • Not all faculty are supportive
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are okay, but not amazing. They claim to have good placement records, but it's not always the case. You really need to work hard and network to secure a good internship. Don't rely solely on the college to land you a great opportunity.

Course Information :

The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering Global Programme at UPES is pretty comprehensive. It covers a lot of ground, but some of the course content feels a bit outdated. They need to update the curriculum to keep up with the latest industry trends. Overall, it's decent but could be better.

Fee Structure :

The fee structure for the B.Tech CSE Global Programme is around ₹25 Lakhs. Honestly, it feels a bit steep for what they offer. There are other colleges with similar programs that might give you better value for your money. Make sure you weigh your options before committing.

Faculty :

Some faculty members are really supportive and knowledgeable, but others just read off the slides. It's a mixed bag. If you're proactive and seek out the good teachers, you can learn a lot. But don't expect everyone to be super engaging or helpful.

Campus Details :

The campus is huge and has everything you need, from food outlets to stationary shops. The buildings are well-maintained and air-conditioned. It's a nice environment to study in, and there are plenty of places to hang out with friends. The campus is definitely one of the highlights of UPES.
