  • Active campus life with many events
  • Good support for extracurricular activities

  • Outdated equipment in mechanical labs
  • Overcrowded classrooms
  • Limited hostel vacancies
  • Student political violence
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students are limited. Students are largely responsible for finding their own internships, which can be a challenge. More support from the college in securing internships would be beneficial.

Course Information :

The Mechanical Engineering course at CUSAT has a syllabus that gets updated, but could use more real-world industrial exposure. You'll need to find internships on your own. However, the faculty is top-notch, and their teaching methods are excellent, making the course worthwhile.

Fee Structure :

For Mechanical Engineering under the All India Merit quota, the annual academic cost is around ₹1 lakh. Hostel and accommodation add another ₹5,000 per month. It's a bit pricey, but the library and quality professors make it a decent value for the money.

Faculty :

The faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department are undoubtedly experts in their fields. Their teaching methods are exceptional, and they are always ready to help students. However, more practical, hands-on experience could enhance the learning experience.

Campus Details :

CUSAT's campus life is vibrant with seminars, workshops, and exhibitions happening all the time. The college supports extracurricular activities like sports, engineering, and arts. I even took a German language course offered by the university, which was a great experience.
