Shri Gnanambica Degree College: Honest Review of Academics and Campus Life

Likes

  • Cleanliness is well-maintained.
  • Administration is supportive.
  • Some faculty are dedicated.
  • Decent hygiene standards.

Dislikes

  • Poor placement opportunities.
  • Lack of sports facilities.
  • Overpriced fees for value.
  • Limited practical learning.
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are limited, and most of the companies that come for placements are startups offering low packages. The college is supportive, but the quality of placements needs significant improvement. More tie-ups with established companies would be a huge help.

Course Information :

I'm currently pursuing B.Sc Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Computer Applications here. The course is okay, but honestly, it feels a bit theoretical. I wish there was more practical application and hands-on experience integrated into the curriculum to make us more industry-ready.

Fee Structure :

The fees for my B.Sc course are around ₹18,000 per year. Considering the facilities and teaching quality, it feels a bit overpriced. I think the college should consider reducing the fees or improving the resources available to students.

Faculty :

The faculty is average. Some teachers are really dedicated and helpful, but others just seem to be going through the motions. I wish all the professors were more engaging and passionate about their subjects. More focus on student interaction would be great.

Campus Details :

The campus is pretty basic. The buildings are small, and there's no proper library or sports center. The cleanliness is maintained, but overall, the infrastructure needs a major upgrade. A better campus would definitely improve the overall college experience.
