College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are almost non-existent in college. You have to apply for internships externally, as no companies come for recruitment. It's a major drawback, and the college should focus on improving this aspect.
Course Information :
I opted for B.Com at Shri Shikshayatan College, and the course structure is pretty decent. The syllabus is updated, and it covers all the important aspects of commerce. The teachers are supportive, and they make sure we understand the concepts well. Overall, it's a good choice for B.Com aspirants.
Fee Structure :
The fee structure for B.Com is quite reasonable. Back in 2015, the first year cost around ₹40,000, and it gradually increased to ₹44,000 by the third year. It's manageable compared to other private colleges in Kolkata. Definitely value for money!
Faculty :
Some of the faculty members are really good and approachable. They are always ready to help with doubts and queries. Their teaching methods are effective, and they make the subjects interesting. However, there's always room for improvement in terms of bringing in more experienced professors.
Campus Details :
The college infrastructure is okay, but it could be better. The canteen is well-maintained, and the food is good. Water coolers are available on every floor, which is a plus. The washrooms, though clean in the morning, get dirty by the end of the day as they are cleaned only once.
