Siddhant College of Engineering: A Reality Check from a Former Topper

Likes

  • Some faculty were supportive.
  • Located in a convenient area of Pune.

Dislikes

  • Poor placement record.
  • Outdated curriculum.
  • Lack of extracurricular activities.
  • Limited internship opportunities.
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities were scarce. The college didn't put in much effort to bring in companies for internships. Most of us had to rely on our own connections to secure internships, which was quite disappointing.

Course Information :

Looking back at my BE Computer Science and Engineering course, I feel the curriculum needs a serious update. While the basics were covered, the course didn't prepare us well for the industry's current demands. More practical, hands-on experience would have been a game-changer.

Fee Structure :

The fees for BE Computer Science and Engineering were around ₹119,586 per year. Honestly, considering the facilities and the quality of education, it felt a bit overpriced. There are other colleges offering better value for money.

Faculty :

Most of the faculty members were knowledgeable, but some lacked the ability to effectively communicate the concepts. There was a clear disconnect between their expertise and our understanding. More engaging teaching methods are definitely needed.

Campus Details :

The campus felt lifeless. There were hardly any hangout spots, and the infrastructure was quite basic. It lacked the vibrant atmosphere you'd expect from an engineering college. More recreational facilities and green spaces would make a huge difference.
