College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are decent, but could be better. Mostly software companies come for placements, even for mechanical students. They usually offer 6 months of training before the actual job. It would be great if more core mechanical companies visited the campus.
Course Information :
I'm in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, and honestly, the course is alright. The syllabus is pretty standard, but I wish there was more focus on practical applications and industry-relevant skills. It feels a bit theoretical at times. Hoping for more hands-on experience in the coming semesters.
Fee Structure :
The fee structure for B.Tech courses is around ₹2.5-3 Lakh per year, which feels a bit steep considering the facilities. There are additional costs for exams and other activities. Some of my friends are looking into education loans to manage the expenses. Could be more transparent about the total cost upfront.
Faculty :
Some teachers are really good and helpful, but others struggle to connect with all the students. They're all well-qualified, but the teaching methods could be improved. I wish they'd focus more on making us 'good human beings' and preparing us for the real world.
Campus Details :
The campus is quite far from Pune city, almost like a hill station if you include the MBA campus. We have a decent football ground and a well-maintained gym. The mess food is average, I'd give it a 3/5. Overall, the infrastructure is okay, but the location is a bit inconvenient.
