College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities for B.Com students were pretty much non-existent when I was there. Only the B.AF students had some placement options. So, if you're looking for internships, you might have to rely on your own connections and efforts. The college could definitely improve in this area.
Course Information :
So, I did my B.Com from Thakur College. Honestly, the course itself is pretty standard. Nothing too exciting, but it covers all the basics you'd expect. If you're looking for a solid foundation in commerce, it's alright. Just don't expect any groundbreaking teaching methods.
Fee Structure :
The fees for B.Com at Thakur College are definitely on the higher side compared to other colleges in Mumbai. I think I paid around ₹1,64,630 per year. Considering the quality of academics, it felt a bit overpriced. You might want to weigh your options and see if the campus life and other facilities justify the cost for you.
Faculty :
Okay, so the faculty was a mixed bag. A few teachers were really good and helpful, but honestly, some of them struggled with English and didn't seem to have a strong grasp of the fundamentals. It was frustrating at times, especially when trying to understand complex topics. I'd say only a handful of teachers were truly effective.
Campus Details :
Campus life at Thakur College is pretty good! The college has a huge library where you can borrow books during exams, which is a lifesaver. Plus, there's a ground for football and cricket, and the computer labs are well-equipped. The campus gives you enough freedom to roam around, and attendance isn't a huge issue. It's a fun place to be!
