Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli was established by the Government of Maharashtra on May 18, 1972, in order to provide Agricultural Education, Research and Extension in Konkan in the state of Maharashtra. The university is also known as DBSKKV. The university was formerly known as Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth and later on in the year 2001 on February 12, it was renamed to Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli. The university also has research centres and Regional Fruit Research Station, Vengurle and Regional Agricultural Research are amongst the main research centres of DBSKKV. Thane, Palghar, Bandra, Raigad, Karjat, Mumbai, Repoli, Panvel, Shriwardhan are the North Konkan Coastal Zone jurisdictions of DBSKKV whereas Ratnagiri Wakawali, Zadgaon, Shirgaon, Bhatye, Awashi, Sindhudurg, Phondaghat, Dapoli, Rameshwar, Vengurle, Nileli, and Mulde are the South Konkan Coastal Zone jurisdictions of the university.Location

The campus is lush green and well-maintained. There's Wi-Fi everywhere, and the library has a huge collection of books and journals. The hostels are clean, and the food is hygienic. Overall, it's a great environment for studying and relaxing.
