JEE Main Examination: Candidates must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and score above the cutoff marks to qualify for JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced Result: IIT Bombay considers the scores obtained in JEE Advanced for admission to the B.Tech Electrical Engineering program.

JoSAA Counselling Registration: Qualified candidates must register on the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) portal for counselling.

Choice Filling: During JoSAA counselling, candidates must fill in their preferred choices of institutes and branches, with IIT Bombay - Electrical Engineering as one of the options.

Seat Allocation: JoSAA conducts several rounds of seat allocation based on JEE Advanced rank, category, and the choices filled by candidates. Seats are allotted based on merit and availability.

Acceptance of Seat: If a candidate is allotted a seat in IIT Bombay - Electrical Engineering, they must decide whether to accept the seat, float for a higher preference, or reject the seat.

Document Verification and Provisional Admission: Candidates who accept the seat must report to IIT Bombay for document verification. They need to carry original documents and photocopies for verification. Upon successful verification, provisional admission is granted.

Payment of Fees: After provisional admission, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fees to confirm their seat in the B.Tech Electrical Engineering program at IIT Bombay.

Reporting to the Institute: Finally, candidates must report to the institute on the specified date to complete the joining formalities and begin their academic session.
