SET Exam 2026 registration last date — fees, mode and cities
The SET application fee is INR 2,250 for one session. You also need to pay an institute fee of INR 1,000 per institute you apply to. Fees are non-refundable.
The exam is computer-based (CBT) and is held across 80 test cities . You can pick up to three test cities in order of preference when filling the form. Test centre allocation follows first-come-first-served availability.
How to apply and documents to upload
Register on the official portal, fill personal and academic details, upload scanned documents and pay the fee online. Payment options include debit/credit cards, net banking and UPI.
You will need a recent passport-size photograph (not older than 3 months ), a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport), Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, caste certificate if applicable, and DOB proof. Class 12 students awaiting results may apply provisionally.
