CUSAT M.Tech admission 2026: Deadline extended to May 15, 2026
CUSAT has extended the M.Tech application deadline to May 15, 2026 . You can apply online at admissions.cusat.ac.in for any of the 14 specialised M.Tech programmes the university offers.
The university follows a merit-based selection. Candidates with a valid GATE score are preferred and get a 5% mark relaxation . If you don’t have GATE, you can sit for the Departmental Admission Test (DAT) conducted by the relevant department.

CUSAT M.Tech admission 2026: how to apply
Register and submit your application at admissions.cusat.ac.in . You must upload your certificate of qualifying examination, mark lists and other supporting documents in the formats specified on the portal.
Pay the application fee online using credit/debit card, UPI or net banking. The general application fee is ₹1,500 and ₹700 for Kerala SC/ST candidates.

CUSAT verifies documents after submission and approves applications within ten days . Once approved, you will get a confirmation on your candidate profile and an email with application details.
Programmes, eligibility and selection
The university lists 14 specialised M.Tech programmes across engineering and applied science streams. You must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field to be eligible.
Merit lists will prioritise GATE-qualified candidates. Non-GATE applicants will be considered through DAT if seats remain unfilled by GATE candidates. There is no separate Common Admission Test for multiple programme applications — you need not pay extra test fees for applying to more than one M.Tech programme.
