TG EAMCET 2026 toughest shift — impact on ranks and normalization

TG EAMCET was held in multiple shifts, so scores will be normalized across sessions to ensure fairness. Officials and analysts expect normalization to raise some students’ raw marks by about 1–2 marks . That measure is intended to reduce any advantage or disadvantage from a harder or easier shift.

Registration grew this year by 2,600 candidates over last year. Because of the higher number of test-takers, analysts predict cutoffs may shift by about 100–200 ranks . As a rule of thumb used by analysts, 60–80 marks are expected to be the likely deciding range for B.Tech admissions this year.

If you took the exam, watch for the official scorecard and normalization details from the exam authority. Normalization and final results will determine seat allotment and the effect of the toughest shifts on individual ranks.
