RRB Group D Result 2026: How scores are calculated

CBT marking gives +1 mark for each correct answer and deducts 1/3 mark for every wrong answer. The boards have already released the answer key and individual response sheets.

A percentile-based normalisation will be used across shifts. The percentile scale runs from 0 to 100 , and the topper in each shift receives 100 . If two candidates have the same normalised percentile, merit will be decided by age (older candidate placed higher).

Expected safe scores vary by zone and category; for General category candidates a ballpark safe score is around 72 to 80+ marks, though official cut-offs will appear only with the result PDFs.

What comes after the CBT result

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the result PDFs will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). PET is mandatory and qualifying in nature. After PET, selected candidates go through Document Verification (DV) and a Medical Examination before final selection.

    Quick checklist for candidates

    • Keep your registration number and date of birth ready to download the scorecard.
    • Check the regional RRB website for the zone-wise roll number PDF; use Ctrl+F to find your roll number quickly.
    • Remember CBT negative marking: 0.33 marks per wrong answer.
    • PET must be cleared; it’s qualifying only but necessary to move forward.

    Extra notes

    • The result will be announced online only on official regional RRB websites and rrbcdg.gov.in.
    • Scorecards will show your CBT score after normalisation; official zone- and category-wise cutoffs will be published with the merit lists.
    • Exact publication time and direct PDF links will be shared on the official portals when released.
