Tamil Nadu SSLC toppers list 2026 — Results out

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu released the Tamil Nadu SSLC toppers list 2026 along with the TN SSLC Results 2026 on May 20, 2026 at 9:30 AM , the School Education Minister said in a press conference. More than 8.71 lakh candidates who sat the public exams held from March 11 to April 6, 2026 can now check their provisional score sheets online.

How to view the Tamil Nadu SSLC toppers list 2026 and access results

Students need their unique examination registration number and date of birth to access results on the official portals. Provisional score sheets are available on tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in . The board has also enabled delivery via DigiLocker , UMANG app , and SMS to the parent’s mobile number.

Carry the provisional score sheet for admission to Class 11 until school certificates are issued. The Directorate recommends keeping the online copy until you receive the school-issued marksheet.

Districts in the Tamil Nadu SSLC toppers list 2026

The DGE does not publish individual student state ranks or a list of named state toppers. Instead, the board released district-wise performance and overall statistics. The top performing districts are listed below.

    Rank District Pass Percentage
    1 Pudukkottai 97.57%
    2 Sivagangai 97.54%
    3 Thanjavur 97.41%
    4 Trichy 97.31%
    5 Kanniyakumari 97.30%

These district rankings replace the practice of naming individual state toppers at the board level.

Immediate steps for students after results

Log in to the official portals with your registration number and DOB to download the provisional score sheet. If you receive the score via SMS or DigiLocker, save a copy for admissions to higher secondary school.

If you cannot find your registration number, contact your school first; the DGE statistic releases do not include individual names or state ranks. For re-evaluation, certificates, or timelines for physical mark sheets, follow instructions from your school and the Directorate.

The release affects admissions and scholarship verifications across the state. Keep your provisional score sheet ready while schools announce Class 11 admission schedules and certificate distribution.
