CLAT 4th Merit List 2026: Deadlines and immediate actions
The fourth round is the last one that allows the Float option. You must pay the non-refundable confirmation fee and choose one of the counselling options—Freeze, Float, or Exit—by May 14, 2026, 2:00 PM . Missing the confirmation fee deadline will lead to automatic seat cancellation.
If you choose Freeze, your seat is locked and you must pay the remaining university fee directly to the allotted NLU by May 30, 2026 . Candidates who choose Float keep the current allotment while remaining eligible for upgrades in the final allotment scheduled for May 20, 2026 .
CLAT 4th Merit List 2026: Who is eligible and how to access
Only candidates who have not confirmed a seat in earlier rounds are eligible for this allotment. Log in to consortiumofnlus.ac.in with your CLAT registration credentials to view and download the NLU-wise PDF allotment.
You may see either a first-time allotment (seat opened after withdrawals) or an upgraded seat if you held an earlier allotment. Both require immediate payment of the confirmation fee within the deadline.
Documents, fees and reporting
At reporting you will need to carry your CLAT admit card, Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, Character Certificate and Transfer Certificate. Submit category certificate, PwD certificate or domicile certificate where applicable. Documents must be valid and in the format prescribed by the Consortium or the allotted NLU.
