Well, it's definitely possible for a Thapar University graduate to get into top-notch MBA programs, but it's not a cakewalk. A colleague of mine from a slightly lower-ranked law school in Texas managed to get into a top institute later on.

So, the prestige of your undergrad school isn't the only thing that matters. You'll need to put in a lot of effort. Aim for a GMAT score above 780 and make sure you have some solid work experience under your belt. Meeting the specific criteria of each school is also super important. Good luck!
