Yes, IIIT Guwahati has indeed moved to its permanent campus. It's one of the 20 IIITs established by the Central Government under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Act in 2017. The institute began its operations in August 2013, offering B.Tech programs in CSE and ECE.

The foundation stone for the permanent campus was laid on January 19, 2016, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The shift to the new campus occurred in July 2018, with the new semester commencing there.
