How are the MCA placements at Thapar University?

From what I've heard from friends, doing an MCA at Thapar University might not be the best decision. Usually, B.Tech CSE grads get preference during placements.

Panelists often see a BCA or B.Sc. in CSE on your resume.
They might think you didn't get into B.Tech and chose BCA instead.
Companies often prefer B.Tech grads to maintain their firm's reputation.

One option is to get a lateral entry after BCA and get a diploma in CSE. Then, you could try to get into the 2nd year of a B.Tech program at Thapar. This could lead to better job opportunities than an MCA.

With an MCA from Thapar, you might get a salary package of 5-10 LPA, while a B.Tech degree could get you 15-25 LPA.
