How are the placements at IIT Bhubaneswar?

IIT Bhubaneswar has been doing pretty well with placements lately!

For the electronics engineering department, almost everyone (99%) got placed.
Electrical engineering also saw a similar placement rate. Mechanical engineering had good placement numbers too.
However, civil engineering placements weren't as strong, with only a couple of companies visiting for recruitment.

Placement Stats for 2020-21:


Average CTC	15.8 LPA
Highest CTC	45 LPA

Why the Civil Dept Faced Issues?

One reason might be the Career Development Cell (CDC). A friend in Water Resources Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar, who's also a placement coordinator, found out that the CDC in-charge wasn't really aware of which companies recruit from their department. This suggests a lack of awareness and engagement.

Overall, IIT Bhubaneswar generally has a solid placement record.
