Well, placements shouldn't be the only thing you look at when choosing a college. Things like the course content, teachers, department quality, research opportunities, and facilities are also super important.

But if we're talking placements, MIT does offer some chances in core mechanical companies for technical roles. You'll also find IT companies (both service-based and product-based) and a few companies offering managerial positions.

Keep in mind, you'll be competing with students from CEG and ACT campuses too, so be prepared. Recent stats show the average salary package is around 4 LPA.

Also, the mechanical department's faculty is just okay, and the lab facilities are a bit limited since the department is relatively new and relies on CEG quite a bit.
