So, you're curious about the academics at Manipal University? From what I've heard from friends studying at MIT Manipal, it's a pretty decent place to get your degree. One of my buddies in Mechanical Engineering seems quite happy with his choice.

The campus is top-notch and well-maintained, possibly better than some NITs and IITs.
The student crowd is diverse, and you'll meet people from all over with different skills. This gives you good social exposure, which helps in shaping your personality.
The faculty is okay, but like in most colleges, you'll need to study on your own.
Research opportunities might not be as extensive, but Manipal students did build a satellite, which is a big deal.
