Manipal University, now known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), is a pretty well-known private university. It's got a decent rep, especially for its engineering programs, with India Today ranking it 54th. Plus, it's recognized by the UGC, and its courses are approved by AICTE, BCI, and COA.

Academics : MAHE offers a bunch of courses from undergrad to Ph.D. You can find programs in engineering, architecture, design, humanities, media, computer applications, and management.

For undergrad, they have the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), but they also consider JEE Main scores.
For postgrad, M.Tech admissions use GATE scores, and MBA uses XAT/MAT.

Placements : Placements are a big deal here. Training kicks off in March, and the season starts in July.
