How is the School of Engineering (SOE) at CUSAT for a North Indian student?

Generally, CUSAT doesn't discriminate based on where you're from. Hostels are available for everyone, but spots can be limited because lots of North Indians study here. My friend who's also from North India prefers renting a flat near the campus. Hostels are cheaper, but both are well-maintained.

Free internet is available in labs and libraries. For hostels and flats, most students use private WiFi like Asianet, which is affordable and easy to get.

As long as you follow the rules, you shouldn't face any issues. Being away from your home state might sometimes make you feel out of place, but it's not a big deal here. The teachers are good and will help with your doubts. However, most students learn on their own. The students who get in are smart enough to handle their studies independently, which is a good thing.
