I'm into programming and can't get CSE at a top college. Should I pick ECE at IIIT Allahabad or IIIT Bangalore? Which one is better for coding?

If you're passionate about programming, both IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Bangalore are solid choices for ECE. From what my friends there tell me, both have really good coding cultures.

IIIT Bangalore has a couple of cool student bodies:

CAMP (Club for Algorithms, Maths, and Programming): They're all about competitive coding and prepping for stuff like ACM ICPC.
Zense: This club focuses on open-source contributions and software development. They help you get ready for things like Google Summer of Code (GSoC) and other hackathons.

IIIT Bangalore students have done well in hackathons like the Wipro Digital Hackathon and IIM Bangalore policy hackathon.

So, even though it's still growing, IIIT Bangalore has a great programming scene with lots of opportunities.
