Well, BHU (Banaras Hindu University) and IIT BHU (Indian Institute of Technology, BHU) are located on the same campus, but they're actually different institutions. BHU is a central university with lots of different departments. IIT BHU used to be part of BHU, but now it's an independent IIT. This means IIT BHU has its own rules and management, separate from BHU. However, students from both institutes can use some of the same facilities like the auditorium and sports complex.
