So, one of my friends is graduating from BJB College with a B.Com this April, and I can share what he's told me about his experience.

If you're figuring out where to go after your 12th board exams, BJB might be a good choice.

Faculty

The professors are pretty knowledgeable, and most are cool with students.
Most of the teachers are older and not too strict, so they don't mind skipping classes.
The Commerce Department HOD is serious and a bit strict with his students.

Attendance

My friend went to regular classes only in the first semester. After that, he barely attended any.
The teachers are experienced but a bit slow, and they mostly read notes from the books.
Attendance isn't a big deal at BJB, so the number of students in class drops after the first semester.

College Atmosphere and Seniors

The seniors are really friendly, but you should make an effort to connect with them.
Campus life is fun because attendance isn't strict, so you can make good memories.

Other Things to Know:

The cut-off marks for BJB entrance are high, so you need to take your board exams seriously.
Exam schedules can be unpredictable and are usually announced 2-3 weeks before the exam.
Ragging is rare.
It's not too hard to score well here; students can easily get 85-88% because BJB is more lenient than Utkal University. Just write a lot in the exam papers—that's the trick.
The college doesn't offer great job opportunities or internships.
There aren't many fests or extra facilities.
